Camps and Excursions
All classes from Reception to Year 6 participate in class excursions that support the curriculum. Excursions can be at school or out of school. It is policy to give parents sufficient warning for forthcoming excursions and to invite parental assistance. Parents must have a current Catholic Police Clearance and be a Registered Volunteer at St Pius X School to attend.
Most costs for excursions are taken from the Resource Fee.
School camps are aimed at providing Year 5 and 6 students with the opportunity to experience learning in an outdoor/away from home environment that places emphasis on independence and cooperative learning skills that are a part of the curriculum at various year levels. Every effort is made to keep the camp experiences at an affordable level.
