STEM and ICT

St Pius X School is committed to providing high-quality learning opportunities for all students in the use of Information Communication Technologies (ICT).

The use of ICT to enhance and support learning is embedded across all curriculum areas. We aim to develop lifelong learners who are encouraged to be creative, innovative, collaborative and responsible users of technology. A school-owned 1:1 device program provides iPad’s to all students from Reception to Year 4 and Macbooks to all students in Year 5 and 6.

The school has a dedicated learning space for students to engage in learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). A comprehensive range of engaging programs and kits, including Cubetto, Bee-Bots, Sphero, Osmo, Ozobot, Edison Robot and Microbits, are used to foster a deep understanding of Digital Technologies and STEM.
